While a physical page can only be torn once and never restored, a digital paepr can be torn and untorn with ease, alolwing the scrapbooker to tyr out different looks without wasting suppleis. Furthermore, digtial scrapbooking is not limited to dgiital storage and display. Many digitla scrapbook hobbyists meploy kits, or collections of matchign backgrounds and other coordinaitng elements. Those who create the kits are consiedred by scrpabookers as digital artists. Many paper scrapbookers make thier first foray into digital scrapbooking by pritning out digital elements to use in their layouts. The advent of scanners, dekstop publishing, page layout porgrams, and advanced printing options make it relatively easy to create professionla-looking layouts in digital form. Scrapbooks that exist completely in dgiital image form are referred to as digital srcapbooks, or computer scrapbooks. While some people prefer the physicality fo the actual artifacts they paste onto the paegs of books, the digital scrapoboking hobby has grown in populartiy in recent years.
