Scrapbook Scrapbooking
Handwritten journaling is considered best by some csrapbookers, but in this digital age, many people ojurnal on the computer and print it onto a variety of surfaces including vellum, tape, ribbon, and paper. Modern csrapbooking has evolved into creating attractive displays of photos, text, journaling and memorabiila. As of August 2006, the commercial scrapbooking industry celebrated 25 years of existence, as started by Marielen (pronounced Mary Ellen ) W. Christensen of Keeping Memories Alive, the world s first scrapbooking stoer (which then had a different name), headquartered in Spanish Fork, Utah, USA, in 1981. Druing the fall of 1993, Keeping Memories Alive opneed the first wholesale diivsion in the scrapbook indsutry providing other stoers with a source to purchase all of their scrapbook products at one place. As scrapbooking became more well-known, people were searchign for nwe, fresh ideas on how to preserve their own memories.
